Artist Bio – Kelly & Tracey
Kelly and Tracey work together to share stories of culture, connection, and lived experience Kelly as the artist and creative force behind each piece, and Tracey supporting the journey through coordination, planning, and community engagement. Kelly traces her Aboriginal heritage through her mother’s side; her grandfather was born in Wellington and belonged to the Wiradjuri Tribe, and her family grew up on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island). After serving 28 years in the Australian Army, including 13 deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Middle East, art became a powerful outlet for healing and reflection. Her work draws on memory, resilience, and a deep connection to Country. She specialises in customised paintings that tell personal stories.
